The Weekly Parashiot

For DI – The Weekly Parashiot with Chapters and Verses

Two sites that carry the Text of the entire Tanakh (Genesis to Malachi):

Chabad.org

JEWISH PUBLICATION
SOCIETY BIBLE

The JPS 1917 might be comfortable for those who are used to King James version.

One that carries Mordechai Kaplan’s Translation, the Hebrew original and Transliteration of each verse of the Chumash (Five Books of Moses)

Navigating the Bible

Tools for Torah Studies:

E-Sword – Here is a nifty downloadable tool if you wish to do your own commentaries, studies and parallel readings, need to find all instances of a certain word or want to know what is the root word in Hebrew or have forgotten where a specific verse is. Warning: The Site is Xtian, and much of the material is geared towards Xtians , but you can easily delete that from your computer as soon as you have this application installed. On their site you can also choose what translations you wish to work with – and they have the JPS 1917 and a Hebrew Original of the entire Tanakh as well as King James version with incorporated Strong, as well as different Dictionaries, such as Strong’s.

eSnips have 6 pages of E-Sword adaptedTopic files containing Classic Jewish Texts, such as the entire Babylonian Talmud in English, Maimonides Guide to the Perplexed and Louis Ginsberg’s Legends of the Jews volume 1-4, which are all easily searcheable through the E-Sword application. Very useful.

This is a great site. The only thing that I could not find were the weekly haftarot(transliterated). I use them for teaching my handicapped students. Thanks again.
