The fear of being Racist at the core of European Immigration Problems

Posted by Henric C. Jensen on March 31, 2008

“Until now I was only in it to uphold freedom of speech. With that I mean: ‘When there is a tendency to muzzle speech with violence, or threats of violence, you ought to stand up for the person who wants to say his part, even if you don’t agree with him, or them, or don’t understand what he is talking about.'[…] Islam is the new religion immigrated from different nations with different cultures and the struggle to adapt them to our secular society is a hard one. Politicians ignored the integration question for 30 years and left the immigrants out to dry. That’s why some people are still living within their old traditions and groups and some even don’t speak Dutch. Especially women from Islamic cultures who are kept in the house. This is an important and difficult debate where the groups involved can feel insulted, but I also think it needs to be dealt with. I don’t think Wilders has the right way to do it, but I support his freedom to make some havoc about it that this debate can be addressed publicly.” (Marc Gartmann)

The Nations in the European Union are largely responsibility for their own “immigrant problems” – something that they refuse to acknowledge, just as they refuse to discuss the hard issue of what should be expected of immigrant communities, as well as what the immigrant communities can expect from their adopted Societies. This is true about ALL immigrants to the various European Nations. This refusal has given intellectual birth to people like Geert Wilders and his ideas.

The resentment that he directs at the Muslim Immigrants should rightfully be directed at the Dutch Government. In my opinion, the only Nation in EU that has a successful history of dealing with their immigrants and their racists is Finland. What has Finland done that makes me say this?

1. They have realized that their Society has limits, and that it cannot accommodate immigrants in their thousands.

2. Made sure that the immigrants they have accommodated are properly taken care and integrated from day one of their stay.

3. Worked closely and parallel with the Immigrant Communities and the Finnish Society they have been inserted in to avoid misunderstandings and resentments.

4. Consistently seen immigrants as resources and positive additions to Society, that have something to give, rather than take.

5. Treat immigrants and non-immigrants equally in terms of expectations and privileges.

This can only be accomplished if and when a society honestly looks at its resources, the needs of its citizens, both new and old, and fit them to each other and add them up to make sure they do not out-weigh each other.

In a few words – Finland has, compared to most other nations in the EU, a very restrictive, but realistic immigration policy that takes into consideration both Society as a whole and the Immigrants. Finland has also consistently been criticized as being less willing to receive immigrants. If only the rest of the EU had emulated Finland’s example! Then we would not have had the problems that we see in England, Holland, Sweden, Denmark, France or Italy.

As for the debate that Marc is pointing to as crucial and tough. One reason that it is so difficult to initiate and have is that it has become politically incorrect (i.e racist) to want to limit the influx of immigrants or have expectations of those immigrants that is allowed in. It’s good to be liberal, but if a nation is so liberal that it can no longer see its own limitations, financially, socially and culturally, it is no longer healthy.

To deny cultural differences out of fear of being labeled racist and then react negatively when those differences comes back to bite you in the ass is just another form of racism.

Geert Wilders, and I agree with Marc that he is not Racist, is just the top of an iceberg, and his criticism of elements of Islam, that don’t merge well with Dutch Society is not only warranted but necessary. His methods are not acceptable, but his criticism should be.

Is it racist to expect people to learn the language in their new country?

Is it racist to expect that people try and become versed in the social and cultural codes of their new country, and learn how to apply them?

Is it racist to expect that people obey the laws of the country they adopt?

I really don’t think so. The failure to have those expectations of immigrants is the root of all immigrant problems in Europe and it’s a root that has been growing by the minute since the mid 60’s. Now we reap the fruits, in the form of the Arab European League and Geert Wilders.

Arab European League Replies to Wilders and “The West”

Posted by Henric C. Jensen on March 30, 2008

The video above is Xianophobic, Antsemitic and hateful towards the West – not surprising at all. I would have produced something similar in response to the Fitna Movie, had I been the least inclined to practice “eye for an eye” or “tooth for a tooth”. What has the European Arab League achieved by creating and publishing this video? More hatred, more prejudice and more violence. Nice, well done! Sardonic
However, I knew all this already – what I do not know is why Wilders is wrong, and the AEL doesn’t answer my question. It doesn’t take the opportunity to educate me about Islam. It just perpetuates the cycle of hatred. It’s sad. Here there was a golden opportunity to show the peaceful nature of Islam, the tolerant nature of Islam, and the AEL blows it – right in my face. They just proved people like Connie and Wilders right.
It is their right under the idea of Freedom of Speech – they have a right to respond in any way they like, but forgive me for being disappointed when all I see is them being just as hateful and prejudiced as Geert Wilders.
1. Wilders’ Islamophobia is directly connected to his “Zionism”, according the the Arab European League.
2. To discredit Judaism and Jewish people, they use a “quote” they attribute to the Talmud. However this “quote” from Avodah Zara is a pure fabrication.

“A heretic Gentile you may kill outright with your own hands.”

Here is Avodah Zara 4b in English.

The “quote” doesn’t exist anywhere in Talmud.

That it is a fabrication, usually used by White Nationalists and some extreme Xians, can be arrived at by using logic:

Talmud is a purely Jewish Scripture, it is only concerned with Jews and Jewish Law. Why would it be concerned with Gentile Heretics? One is either Jewish or one is not, and since Talmud is concerned with Jewish Law, not Gentile Law, it wouldn’t make a ruling on what is a Gentile Heretic.

Pure Antisemitism – now, why respond to Islamophobia with Antisemitism? It makes no sense.

Freedom of Speech vs. Fear, Fanaticism and Fundamentalism

Posted by Henric C. Jensen on March 29, 2008

Fitna Removal 1
Yesterday was a Day of Victory for Fear, Fanaticism and Fundamentalism, a day when yet another voice of Fear, Fanaticism and Fundamentalism was silenced in the name of Hatred and Prejudice.
Fitna Removal 2
Lives were threatened, Democracy and Free Speech were taken hostage, and Reason Negotiated with Terror, and Lost. The Irony of it all is that one brand of Fundamentalist, Bigot and Phobic was Silenced by another. But what really happened was that, Truth, Democracy and Human Rights on Both Sides were the true Casualties.
Fitna Removal 3
Free Speech is for ALL, hatred or not. Democracy cannot exist where there is no Free Speech. Free Speech cannot exist where there is no Democracy. Free Speech is the only Human Institution that guarantee Democracy. The moment you Silence your enemies is the moment you cease to be a democratic creature. The brilliant thing about Free Speech is that as much as it gives your opponent the right to oppose you and argue for his or her case, it also gives you the right to oppose him and argue for your case. Every time a bigot, hater, fanatic, extremist or fundamentalist of any kind speaks out, Democracy is given a golden opportunity to Reply and Refute. Free Speech guarantees that opposing views, also those which are hateful, can be scrutinized and used as educational material.
Fitna Removal 4
Expose hate. Deflect hate. Oppose hate. Embrace truth. (Knate Stahl)
Don’t just expose that hate with which you disagree – anyone can do that, it’s easy. Expose also that hate with which you agree. The hatred, prejudice and bigotry that rests within your own heart. That is where all hatred comes from.
Don’t just deflect hate from those whom you love, anyone can do that, almost by nature we do that. Deflect also the hate that is aimed at your opponent, from out-side, but also from within yourself. That is where all hatred comes from.
Don’t just oppose hate in general, whether you agree with it or not. We can all talk the talk. Oppose hatred specifically by refusing to be a breeding ground for it. Don’t talk the talk – walk the walk, even if it cost you more than you think can pay.
“whoever kills a person, unless it be for manslaughter or for mischief in the land, it is as though he had killed all men. And whoever saves a life, it is as though he had saved the lives of all men.” Quran 5:32
Embrace Truth. Truth is never in the extremes. Truth is always in the middle, in the grey area, in that which is not clear-cut, certain and easy to discern. Embrace Truth. Truth is never easy – always simple, but never easy.

FITNA – The Movie

Posted by Henric C. Jensen on March 28, 2008

Fitna – The Movie
Screen Shot of the Video INtroYes, the Movie is highly Islamophobic. Fully on par with any propagandamovie made by Josef Goebbles. The quoted Imams, Muslims and Mediaarticles in the Movie are fully on par with any Extreme Fundamentalist Xian or Jewish Clergy, believers and what is written about them in the media. I could easily substitute every quote from the Quran given inthe movie with similar or worse from both Torah and the XianScriptures. I could make a Xianophobic or Judeophobic Movie – simpleand easy. That has been done, it will be done in the future. Nothing new there, my friends. The Quran, as the Bible or Torah, is subject to interpretation. If one choose to read it literally one will find all kinds of horrible things in it, as can be done with the Bible or Torah. But why should we judge Islam any different than we judge Judaism or Xianism? Why should we deem the Fundamentalists of Judaism and Xianism less dangerous than Islam? Why should we read the Quran any different than we read the Bible or Torah? We seem to have forgotten that Extreme Fundamentalist readings of Torah and the Bible have lead to, and will continue to lead to the same kind of violence as that described in “Fitna” –

Christian terrorism

Jewish Terrorism

Timothy McVeigh

Meir Kahane

To mention a few we all know about. We don’t claim Xianism orCatholicism as a violent religion because of Timothy McVeigh did or Judaism as a religion of terror based on what Meir Kahane did. Therefore it’s absurd to claim that Islam to be a religion of terror based on 9/11 or other violent attacks committed by people professing to be Muslims.

Judge the Extremist Interpretation of the Quran, not the Quran itself or all the Muslims in the world.

Due to threats, the Movie has been removed from LiveLeak, it can be found here on Google

Olympic Heroes

Posted by Henric C. Jensen on March 27, 2008

Since this Summer will see the Olympics Hosted by China, a highly controversial choice due to the Human Rights violations that we all know is being committed both in-side China and out-side, in Tibet, I think it’s proper to remind people of a few good things that can come of such an event. The prime example is the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin.

Two of the heroes there were Jesse Owens and Lutz Long.

Jesse Owens 200 meter dasah start

It is important because if the world, including the US had boycotted those 1936 Olympics on account of the Human Rights Violations Hitler and his Minions committed before, during and after those Olympic Games, we would never have seen the picture above – Reproduction of photograph in “Die Olympischen Spiele, 1936″ p.27, 1936.”Jesse Owens at start of record breaking 200 meter race.”- Jesse Owens would nopt have been a Olympic Gold Medalist on 100 and 200 meters sprint, 4×100 m relay nor would he have been the Olympic Gold Medalist in Long jump.

Jesse Owens himself credited the Long Jump Gold Medal to Lutz Long, his fiercest competitor and Olympic Silver Medalist, whom Owens claimed had helped him with his technique: According to Owens, Long went to him and told him to try and jump from a spot several inches behind the line. Since Owens routinely made distances far greater than the minimum of 7.15m required to advance, Long surmised that Owens would be able to safely advance to the next round without risking another foul while trying to push for a greater distance.[…]”It took a lot of courage for him to befriend me in front of Hitler… You can melt down all the medals and cups I have and they wouldn’t be a plating on the twenty-four karat friendship that I felt for Lutz Long at that moment.” —Jesse Owens on being advised and congratulated by Luz Long at the 1936 Summer Olympics.”
Would that have been possible without the Summer Games of 1936? No.
Funnily enough, Jesse Owens’ great-nephew Chris Owens is a member of the German basketball league team ALBA Berlin. Might it be that he is because his great-uncle once had the guts to befriend a German? We probably won’t ever know, but I don’t hold for implausible that this might be the case.
Let’s remember people like Jesse Owens this summer, and do what Jimmy Carter didn’t – separate Sports from Politics, as Jesse Owens pleaded with him:

“A few months before his death, Owens had tried unsuccessfully to convince President Jimmy Carter not to boycott the 1980 Olympics held in Moscow, arguing that the Olympic ideal was to be a time-out from war and above politics.”

Lutz Long (left) and Jesse Owens, Summer Olympics Berlin 1936

The Story of Jesse Owens and Lutz Long, apart from telling a story about an Olympic Gold Medalist who would not have been, had the Summer Olympics been boycotted, also shows that Sports is above and beyond Politics.

Yes, horrible things went on in Germany at the time. But a boycott would not have changed that. The Story of Long and Owens further show us that in the midst of horrible events friends can be made, tricks and tips can be shared for the betterment of people. Many Athletes going to the Summer Olympics in Bejing 2008 will only have one chance to be seen, be applauded by the world, will only have one chance to be an Olympian. For us not to be there and cheer them on is as much a betrayal of the Olympian Ideal as it would have been for Jesse Owens to refuse help from Lutz Long based on his nationality and the actions government of his country. Let’s also remember that if Lutz Long had chosen not to help Jesse Owens on account of his skin-color, that too would have been a betrayal of the Olympian Ideal, and it would most likely have made Lutz Long a general Nobody in history, because there would have been no story to tell.

As a Human Rights Activist I see myself as obligated to try and find fairness and balance , look for when the human and the political collide and protect the human from political decisions that violates the rights of the Human. In this case I see the line between the Athletes and the Activists, and I stand firmly with the Athletes in their right to be sportsmen, not political pawns.

The reason why people should need a license to breed

Posted by Henric C. Jensen on March 27, 2008

Dad gets 25 years for microwaving baby

GALVESTON, Texas – A jury on Wednesday sentenced a young father to 25 years in prison for severely burning his infant daughter when he put her in a microwave and turned it on for up to 20 seconds.

I have to disconnect my emotions to write about this. I simply hate child abuse. There is absolutely no excuse for abuse your kid in any way. I am glad this guy doesn’t live close to where I am…

Regardless of how I feel – there are solutions. All that is needed is guts and common sense. Too many people have children before they are old enough to be adult in a true sense. Unfortunately. Some people never get there. So, one solution is to create a mandatory education for prospective parents. From which they have to graduate with an A in all disciplines in order to be licensed parents. It’s sick and crazy that prospective adoptive parents have to jump through loops to be approved, but every Tom, Dick and Harry, Thomasine, Dixie and Harriet with functioning genitals can just “romp around” and have kids they have absolutely no idea, no emotional tools, social skills or common sense to care for. I would also like to put a lower age limit for pregnancies – they would have to be at least 30 years and have spent at least five of those in personal therapy and anger management treatment. BEFORE they have to graduate from Parenting School.

Those who fail should have their “tubes” tied. Period.

The stupidity of Racists

Posted by Henric C. Jensen on March 26, 2008

Patrick Owomoyela

BERLIN, Germany (AP) — The head of Germany’s top far-right party was charged with incitement and defamation Tuesday for allegedly publishing a pamphlet before the 2006 soccer World Cup that prosecutors said called into question whether nonwhite players should be on the national team.[…]

The flyers showed the traditional white German jersey with the No. 25, which was worn at the time by black defender Patrick Owomoyela. They read: “White, not just a jersey color! For a real NATIONAL team!”

Owomoyela, who has a German mother and a Nigerian father, plays for Werder Bremen but is no longer a member of the German national squad.

The NPD called the charges “absurd” and “political” in a statement released on its Web site.

“The German justice authorities are ever more zealous when it comes to pursuing and persecuting the national opposition,” the statement read.

Beier insisted in a telephone interview with The Associated Press that the use of No. 25 was “pure chance” and insisted the quality of the printing was unclear, meaning it could be interpreted as a 26 or even a 23.

“Everyone can see their own favorite number in it,” Beier said.

How stupid can you be? With a defense line like THAT, you deserve to be indicted and prosecuted, and hopefully convicted and sent to jail.

Go Germany!

ALL is not Crap in China

Posted by Henric C. Jensen on March 26, 2008

Panda with Cub

(CNN) — Animal handlers in China have developed a “sexercise” program to try to encourage extinction-threatened pandas to overcome their notoriously low sex drives.

Featuring hip and pelvic-strengthening “dances” for male pandas, the program also sees inexperienced pandas watching their older relatives make love to learn a few moves.

The handlers hope to encourage mating among the sex-shy-but-endangered animals, the Chinese state media reported Tuesday. They work at the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding in the southwestern Sichuan province, the China Daily said.

Keepers teach male pandas a dance-like routine to strengthen the pelvic and hip area — it also boosts the animal’s stamina, the paper said.

In the wild, pandas are solitary animals, coming together only in the spring to mate.

Keepers place a male panda in a female’s den when she’s not there and vice versa. This allows them to smell each other’s odors. And if the pandas get randy at the same time, keepers bring them together, the report said.

“We arrange love-making between two excellent pandas in front of inexperienced pandas, which have never had sex. It does work,” the reserve’s deputy chief, Fei Lisong, told the newspaper.

The unusual measures are aimed at increasing the population of captive giant pandas. They have famously low sexual desires — and that threatens their future.

Fewer than 1,600 giant pandas survive in the wild, along the edge of the Tibetan plateau in China, according to the .

Finally some good news from China. We need that, my friends, we really do.

While we work hard to make the Chinese Government see sense, let’s also celebrate that which is GOOD about China – if it had not been for the dedicated work by Chinese panda handlers and animal preservists, there would be no Great Pandas left in the world. Much is BAD in China, but this is GOOD. Please keep that in mind.

A step for the better, or just a bone to the World?

Posted by Henric C. Jensen on March 25, 2008

BBC News Website Reports about TibetPeople in China are able to access English language stories on the BBC News website in full, after years of strict control by Beijing.

The Communist authorities often block news sites such as the BBC in a policy dubbed the “great firewall of China”.

But BBC staff working in China now say they are able to access news stories that would have been blocked before.

However, the firewall remains in place for Chinese language services on the website and for any links in Chinese.

‘Without hindrance’

Beijing has never admitted to blocking access to BBC news stories – and there has been no official confirmation that the website has been unblocked.

But Chinese users trying to access pages on the site have almost always been redirected to an error message telling them: “The connection was reset.”

I can read the BBC website on a normal internet cafe computer
Gudrun Gallhoff
Website reader, Shandong province

It now appears that this is no longer the case, and access to the site is much easier.

Steve Herrmann, editor of the BBC News website, says this is a welcome development.

“We want BBC News to be as accessible in China as anywhere else in the world,” he said.

“We will endeavour to continue working with the Chinese authorities to improve our access in other areas.”

Technology experts say such a development would not be possible without the approval of internet service providers – which are under strict supervision by Beijing.

This is an interesting development. A welcome one, one that the world, and the Chinese have been waiting for. However, the Chinese Government is, like most Totalitarian Regimes, a fickle creature, that cannot be trusted to be consistent. The question that pops up in my mind is: Is this a way to placate the critics of Chinese Human Rights Violations in f.i Tibet? Or is it a result of IOC interventions? A preparation for the media onslaught that WILL come in August as the Summer Olympics get under way? Or is it simply a matter of conveniencing the growing number of tourists who have no other way of getting English speaking News while on vacation? After all, China does need it’s trade partners in the West In that case, are the tourists aware that only a tiny fraction of Chinese can read and understand English? Will BBC News take its responsibility and inform those tourists and trade partners that China is till holding it’s own People in Bondage?

Zionist=Jew – Radical Far Left Speak originates in Soviet Vocabulary

Posted by Henric C. Jensen on March 25, 2008

In 1968 the Government of Poland – a marionette for the Soviet Regime, decided to crack-down heavily on any criticism of the Regime. An unproportionally large number of Jewish Intellectuals were arrested, accused of, among other things being a “Zionist fifth column”, despite the fact that most of them didn’t identify as being Jewish or had any ties to Israel or Judaism. The word “Zionist” was used as an euphemism for “Jews”, and the remaining Poles of Jewish decent were ‘asked’ to leave, fully in accordance with Soviet anti-zionist politics. (Summarized from Dagens Nyheter March 22 – original: Peter Wolodarski)

The official position of the Soviet Union and its satellite states and agencies was that Zionism was a tool used by the Jews and Americans for “racist imperialism.” The meaning of the term Zionism was misrepresented to conform to a policy of the ruling Communist Party of the Soviet Union: “the main posits of modern Zionism are militant chauvinism, racism, anti-Communism and anti-Sovietism,… overt and covert fight against freedom movements and the USSR.”[6]

Howard Sachar described the allegations of global Jewish conspiracy resurrected during the Soviet “anti-Zionist” campaign in the wake of the Six-Day War:

“In late July 1967, Moscow launched an unprecedented propaganda campaign against Zionism as a “world threat.” Defeat was attributed not to tiny Israel alone, but to an “all-powerful international force.” … In its flagrant vulgarity, the new propaganda assault soon achieved Nazi-era characteristics. The Soviet public was saturated with racist canards. Extracts from Trofim Kichko’s notorious 1963 volume, Judaism Without Embellishment, were extensively republished in the Soviet media. Yuri Ivanov’s Beware: Zionism, a book essentially replicated The Protocols of the Elders of Zion, was given nationwide coverage.”[7]

A similar picture was drawn by Paul Johnson: the mass media “all over the Soviet Union portrayed the Zionists (i.e. Jews) and Israeli leaders as engaged in a world-wide conspiracy along the lines of the old Protocols of Zion. It was, Sovietskaya Latvia wrote 5 August 1967, an ‘international Cosa Nostra with a common centre, common programme and common funds'”.[8] The Israeli government was also referred to as a “terrorist regime” which “has raised terror to the level of state politics”. Even regarding Entebbe hostage crisis Soviet media reported: “Israel committed an act of aggression against Uganda, assaulting the Entebbe airport.”[9]

So… when the Radical Far Left use “Zionists” they use it the same way the Totalitarian and Fascist Regime(s) of the former East European Block. The Radical Far Left don’t differentiate between the Jewish People and the political movement called Zionism.

Don’t be fooled, when they say “Zionist”, they mean “Jew”.
