Burmese groups urge support for weekend of prayer
Oct 5, 2007 (DVB)–Spokespeople from 88 Generation Students and Ethnic Youth Cooperation Group have urged the people of Burma to take part in prayer meetings across the country this weekend. – more
What’s in a prayer? Love, care, compassion, concern, HOPE. So let’s all say a prayer for Burma this weekend – together with all of Burma. It doesn’t take much, since so many of us are going to some sort of worship any way.
Oct 5, 2007 (DVB)–The Myanmar Muslim Association released a statement yesterday calling on Burmese Muslims to observe prayer meetings in Burma and join international demonstrations. – more
Nice to see that prayer goes across the board.
Oct 5, 2007 (DVB)–Thirty-two people in the arts have signed an open letter to show support for peaceful protestors in Burma and condemn the violence against them by the military regime. – more
